A total of 46 participants comprised of SARAWAK FORESTRY staffs, licensee representatives and local communities took part in the Riverbank Log pond Landscape Restoration programme at CDC Lubok Tedong, Sri Aman recently. The project is part of the series of continuous effort by SARAWAK FORESTRY under the Key Result Area (KRA) under the purview of the Ministry of Urban Development and Natural Resources (MUDeNR). The project aims at minimizing river pollution from existing forest operations and activities at the log pond by means of restoring the riverbank vegetation and plants. In all, 40 seedlings of Shorea splendida (Engkabang Bintang) were planted on the day.
