بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

اللهم صل على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم

Salam Sejahtera  Sarawak Forestry Corporation & Salam Sarawak Maju Makmur,

Family of Sarawak Forestry Corporation,

Grace to Lord, with His bless and bestowal, today I humbly upon you with a great honored …..

Syukur alhamdulillah dengan keredhaan yang telah dikurniakan, pada hari ini, saya dengan rasa rendah diri and with great honored, I am excited to address you, as the captain of this remarkable organization.

First and foremost, I wish to express my deep appreciation for the incredible performance of SFC, accomplished in the past years under the guidance and leadership of my predecessors. Strong foundation and direction have been established in the last few years which suit to the SFC’s 4 strategic thrusts (Conservation, Rural Transformation, Revenue generation and Eco-Tourism). Being the green(new) organization that vested with two Ordinances ie. Wild Life Protection Ordinance 1998 and National Parks & Nature Reserves Ordinance 1998, we have put our hard effort in ensuring that obligations entrusted to us are executed tremendously. I am very grateful for having an opportunity to further build and strengthen the foundation and aspired to achieve even greater heights in the pursuit of our shared mission and vision.

Sarawak has charted a course for collective efforts through her promising strategic direction of Post Covid Development Strategy 2030. The three mains thrust ie: Economic Prosperity, Environmental Sustainability and Social Inclusivity, on which are directly tallied to SFC main functions.  In this respect, it is with enthusiasm and commitment that we, under one team of SFC are to embrace and embark aligning ourself to those strategic directions.

As we move forward, let us not forget the core values, vision, and mission that define Sarawak Forestry Corporation:

Vision:

“To be an agency of excellence in the conservation of Sarawak’s wildlife and its totally protected areas for all people, for all time”

Mission:

“To create, maintain totally protected areas and to conserve wildlife through innovation and best practices for the equitable benefits for all”

Furthermore, our values—Integrity, Kind and Caring, Professionalism, Sense of Urgency and Ownership, Team Spirit, and Result-Oriented—are the bedrock of our organizational culture. Let these values guide our actions as we work together to achieve our shared goals.

It is crucial that we integrate these guiding principles into our daily work, ensuring that every action contributes to the fulfilment of our mission and the realization of our vision. Our commitment to conservation, research, and education remains pivotal in preserving Sarawak’s unique ecosystems and ensuring a harmonious balance between development and environmental sustainability.

We march forward side by side with our counterpart in the public sectors to realise Sarawak aspiration through strategies that has been charted in the spirit of One Team SCS. The concept of 3R, Revisit, Rethink and Recharge is vital in ensuring the togetherness with all government agencies toward achieving the target for Sarawak to be a developed region in 2030. Digitalization transformation through talents management is a main foundation for the future success that need to be internalised as well in our direction.

We are confident that, together, we can navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Our dedication and expertise are invaluable assets, and we encourage each of us to actively contribute to the success of Sarawak in general and Sarawak Forestry Corporation in particular.

People is one of the major factors toward the success of a dynamic organization. SFC being a technical agency that is always dynamic to suit the current environment changes in the fast-growing country such as Malaysia, is always concern on the people wellness. For that matter we practice the people-oriented management approach, the 3P Management Concept. Peoples Development is addressing the issues of skills and capacity building. Peoples Inclusivity looking into the harmonious working environment; and Peoples Integrity is addressing the issue related to values at large. In that sense, the organization is moving forward with never left anyone behind walking alone beside to get everybody to be united, at anywhere and anytime.

Let us continue the great works, embrace Sarawak and SFC Strategic Thrusts, and collectively shape a future where our organization stands as a beacon of environmental stewardship.

We are excited to be together embark on this journey as one team SFC. Let us continue the exceptional work that defines Sarawak Forestry Corporation, staying true to our mission, values, and the strategic thrusts that will shape our future.

Thank you and we praise each other for our togetherness and dedication, and we look forward to achieving great things for Sarawak future.

Best Regards.

Wassalam…
